REPORT: KICK-OFF THEME 2020 

Introduction of ERC’s third annual program at EBN B.V. Utrecht.
On February 5, the third annual program of the Energy Reinvented Community was presented during a breakfast meeting at EBN B.V. in Utrecht.

We are pleased to announce that the theme for 2020 is:
“CROSSING BRIDGES”.

An open approach towards integration and collaboration is key to ensure a successful transition towards an accepted, reliable, clean and affordable energy system. In 2020 the ENERGY REINVENTED COMMUNITY wants to address the bridges that we need to cross to integrate the pillars of the energy system and connect with society.
 
Enhancing collaboration between the – now sometimes siloed - pillars of the energy system and driving connectedness with society at large will take effort and an open mindset. Crossing bridges will connect the current and the future energy system, bring the energy sector and communities together, align the energy sector with industry hubs, and bridge between generations.
 
In three events we will address opportunities, spark ideas and discuss solutions that will help us to cross the bridges and seize the opportunities that are key to speed up the energy transition.
 
To actual cross bridges the ENERGY REINVENTED COMMUNITY 2020 events will be jointly organized with other organizations that share a similar vision or take us physically out of the Randstad to other regions
