The second event of 2019 was held at the Car Jeans Stadium The Hague on March 21. Within our ‘Embracing the Energy Transition theme of this year we focused during this event on Digital Transformation.
Over 200 participants joined the event and discussed the potential value of Digitalization in our current industries and Energy transitions journey.
In the plenary afternoon keynotes we have seen and listened to presentations from highly professional companies, and speakers of the companies: Next47, Microsoft, Topsector insights, market trends, innovation and programs where presented.
Topsector Energy presented their idea to develop programs together with our community member on digitalization focusing on new energy carriers and infrastructures.
Together with the members they developed, new topics for knowledge, and innovation will be collected. These topics includes operations and maintenance, but also modelling and risk management for new investments.
In addition to the general theme of the day, our regular working group sessions were held in the afternoon on CCUS, Offshore Energy, Digital Oil and Gas and our new Working group “Community Engagement”.
In the working groups Wintershall, Equinor, Total, Taqa, Petrogas, Nexstep, Gemeente Vlaardingen, Eneco, Solo Ta hari, EBN, TNO and Siemens shared their views from a user suppliers’ perspective in the current and future opportunities for developments and co-cooperation.
In the plenary evening keynotes and panel reflections, we have seen and listened to presentations from highly professional companies and speakers in this space: PON, Shell, Alliander and Siemens insights in where the policies, the different industries / sectors and business are going.
In the panel Alliander, SBM Offshore, Fluor and Pon shared their views from a users’ perspective in the current and future market developments.
We can concluded that there is digitalization is key roll into decarbonation our industries and will have important role into our Energy Transition journey.
All in all we have enjoyed a deep dive into the subject following an excellent network dinner and ending with further networking opportunities over drinks and bites.
