We all recognise that the EU Green deal has high ambitions and poses many challenges for the EU industry. Climate targets are getting stricter and have gained momentum in recent years. Most companies have set themselves clear targets to reduce their carbon footprint in the coming years.

The technology of CCUS has been recognised as one of the technologies that can help industries achieve their targets. To accelerate the implementation of this technology, it will be important to further develop and invest in the technology. With key infrastructure under construction in The Netherlands, the timing has never been better for new business ventures to develop in the carbon transport, storage and utilisation ecosystem.

During a joint session from the CCUS and Financing Energy Transition Focus Groups we will discuss different CCU technology developments that are taking place in the Field Lab of Industrial Electrification (FLIE) located in Rotterdam, and learn more about financing CCUS options, which might be available to support the necessary developments and implementation projects.
