High and lower temperature heat and heat processes play a major role in almost all industrial activities. These too must go to a zero-carbon footprint by 2050. The next Heat Transition Focus Group session will address the main developments, possibilities, and questions on how to move towards the production, use and re-use of sustainable heat.
Together with our speakers we will discuss:
- What is the role of electrification for sustainable heat supply?
- What is the outlook for the need to grow the grid for this?
- How are the design and production of heat pumps stepping up to electrify heat processes?
- What could be the role of heat networks, hydrogen, other sustainable gasses, CCUS, or perhaps biomass in the industrial heat transition?
- How to match heat supply and demand in a sustainable manner?
- Welcome and introduction, Sander de Jong, EBN
- Developments for sustainable heat in the Rotterdam Harbour, Mark Franken, Project/Program Manager, Port of Rotterdam
- Overview heat supply and demand and options for sustainable heat, Annita Westenbroek, Program Director Heat, ISPT
- Use of and developments in the field of heat pumps, Eloi van der Meer, Sales Manager, Siemens Energy
- Wrap up, Sander de Jong, EBN
